Type Thai text naturally using romanization (Latin letters),
just like Pinyin for Chinese.
PhimThai is now available for macOS. Type Thai phonetically in any Mac app using a native system input method.
Free during the beta. Requires macOS 13 or later. The installer is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized for macOS.
Setup instructions:
If the keyboard does not appear immediately after installation, log out and back in once.
Simply type Thai words using English letters. PhimThai will suggest Thai words as you type:
Select the correct word from the candidate window, just like typing Chinese with Pinyin.
Handles multiple romanization variants and finds the words you're looking for.
Automatically segments longer phrases for natural typing.
Works completely offline. No data collection or tracking.
