just like Pinyin for Chinese.
macOS Beta
PhimThai is now available for macOS. Type Thai phonetically in any Mac app using a native system input method.
Free during the beta. Requires macOS 13 or later. The installer is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized for macOS.
Setup instructions:
- Download and open the installer.
- Open PhimThai from Applications or Spotlight.
- Choose "Open Keyboard Settings."
- Add "Thai – Phonetic" under Thai input sources.
- Switch keyboards with Control–Space.
If the keyboard does not appear immediately after installation, log out and back in once.
How It Works
Simply type Thai words using English letters. PhimThai will suggest Thai words as you type:
Select the correct word from the candidate window, just like typing Chinese with Pinyin.
